To Loki, I think you are probably correct, but I don't think this is all of it. When you use a different GamerTag (Xbox account), your Save file starts anew. Using this brand new save on a separate account still seems to be blocked, even though it does not say the GamerTag itself was specifically banned, just that the server is unavailable. (I am unsure what other aspect is blocking me from the server.)

But that does make sense though about flagging save files.

To MrPayDay, I would be interested in purchasing Horizon 4 again, as it's surprisingly good. However, since I do not know what aspects are being blocked (it's more than just my Gamertag it seems), I do not know how I could do so to guarantee it would work. I'd hate to drop money on it only to find the server still is unavailable because it's blocking something from my machine (Windows ID? Hardware ID?).
Same issue with Forza 5, especially hearing now that bans are carried to other titles. Heck, even if I bought a whole new computer now with a new Windows 10 license, would I need a new Microsoft Online Account (which is separate from an Xbox Live account)? There's so many layers and I'm not smart enough to know what matters and what doesn't.

I accept my fate, and I'm still telling my friends to try out the game though, even though I couldn't play with them.

so could we switch between xbox and windows, use cheat on windows and go back to xbox and "clean save" and go back to windows and "clean save" etc to avoid?

I think I may have found out why I got banned, I never synced my game save to the cloud but as soon as I did sync so I was able to use my Xbox to play it. I was banned. Banned from 23/12/18

so has anyone figured out how to play again after being banned i tried new microsoft account yet like others have said it just wont let you play online even if fresh account i was thinking what if you wipe your pc clean reinstall windows and just creat a new outlook account with a fresh bought wins 10 key im pretty sure you would be able to play again

Did anyone figured out a bypass, or confirm if a new operating system will allow multiplayer functions on a new account?

I just got hit with the Banhammer. They ban your gamertag from going online. Rarely if ever do I go online but meh.

I understood the ban is applied to the ID of the PC, if you log in with 30 different accounts and one of them take the banhammer, after that the others will be prevented from going online ... on the machine that took the ban, so it has any way to change the ID of the machine?


if it is not possible, anyone know of any other way to get the exclusive cars online? like hotweels and regalia??

I got banned until 2039, they better send me a notification when they're lifting it so I can play a 20 year old game again and laugh at its pathetic graphics. 😋
